Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dre Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Warriors of the World. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dre Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gaius Julius Caesar !
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caesar closes the distance and clinches.
I was talking to Parker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Caesar can't find room to land a body shot as Parker controls the action.
Caesar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Parker after a bit of a struggle.
Parker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Caesar has him pressed against the cage.
Caesar lands a shoulder strike.
Caesar is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Parker to keep the fight standing.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Parker.
Caesar tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Parker is trying to force a seperation but Caesar has the dominant position.

Caesar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Parker darts in and clinches Caesar up against the cage.
Parker is pressed up against the cage. Caesar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Parker down to the mat. Parker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dre Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gaius Julius Caesar .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caesar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parker lands a jab to Caesar 's midsection.
Parker throws a nice looking combination but Caesar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Caesar fails with the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caesar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parker circles away.

Parker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Caesar , pushing him back against the cage.
Caesar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Parker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Caesar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Parker smiles and moves away.
Dre Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Parker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Parker lands a nice shot that snaps Caesar 's head back.

Caesar pushes Parker up against the cage in a clinch.

Parker breaks from the clinch.

Parker closes the distance and clinches.
Caesar is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Parker to keep the fight standing.

Parker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parker throws a head kick that half lands.

Parker moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Caesar goes down! Can Parker finish him!?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Parker stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Parker misses with a two punch combination.
Caesar steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Parker.
Parker rushes Caesar with punches - Caesar moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Caesar goes down! Parker follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dre Parker!
Dre Parker took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Thanks to the BFT for sticking with me through the tough times!'.
