PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Klinkhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Shipman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shipman has chosen The man that you FEAR as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Klinkhammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Harold Shipman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Klinkhammer.
Shipman jabs Klinkhammer right on the nose. Klinkhammer blinks but takes it well.
Shipman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Klinkhammer was well out of range. Poor timing from Shipman.
Klinkhammer misses with a hook. Shipman ducked under it nicely.
Klinkhammer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shipman.
Klinkhammer looks to land a left hand but Shipman moved out of range nicely.
Shipman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Klinkhammer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Shipman is stalling here. Klinkhammer is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Shipman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Klinkhammer has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shipman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Klinkhammer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Klinkhammer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shipman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Klinkhammer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shipman. Shipman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Shipman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Klinkhammer to the ground. Shipman is now in Klinkhammer's guard.
Klinkhammer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
