The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Solomon but Solomon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Solomon throws a strike but Kirby rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kirby is pushing down on Solomon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Solomon is fighting to maintain full guard but Kirby has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kirby looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Solomon is trying to maintain the position but Kirby is very close to passing his half guard.

Kirby shoots in for a double leg but Solomon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Solomon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kirby sprawls and moves away.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Solomon cracks Kirby with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kirby shoots in looking for a takedown. Solomon tries to sprawl out of it but Kirby keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Solomon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Azinho Solomon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pink Kirby.

Solomon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kirby manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kirby shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Solomon pinned against the cage. Solomon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Solomon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Solomon lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kirby is trying to control the position but Solomon postures up.
Solomon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kirby wants to get back to his feet but Solomon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Solomon lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Kirby looking for a guillotine here but Solomon defends easily.

Kirby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Solomon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kirby is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Solomon frees his head nicely. Oh but Kirby has switched to an armbar! Solomon is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
