Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Worf Roshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roshenko comes to the cage accompanied by QoNos Death Swell. Worf Roshenko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Josh Gardner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Worf Roshenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Gardner!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner moves into range and connects with a jab.
Gardner scores with a jab. Roshenko acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Gardner tries to land a front kick but Roshenko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Josh Gardner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roshenko takes a swing at Gardner's ribcage but misses.
Gardner connects with a right hand. Roshenko shakes it off.
Roshenko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gardner cracks Roshenko with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Roshenko definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Roshenko blocks a low kick nicely.
Roshenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gardner moves away.
A punch lands to the side of Gardner 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Roshenko stalks Gardner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gardner's face. Gardner staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gardner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gardner. That's going to slow Roshenko down.
Gardner lands a nice looking body kick.
Gardner scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Roshenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gardner is fending him off so far but Roshenko persists. Nope, Gardner circles away and we're back to standing.
Gardner stuffs the takedown attempt from Roshenko. Roshenko gets slowly back to his feet.
Gardner scores with a kick to the body.
Roshenko is breathing heavily.

Roshenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gardner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Roshenko swings around for an armbar but Gardner sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Roshenko's guard.

Roshenko is looking for a triangle but Gardner pushes his legs off easily.
Gardner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gardner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Roshenko is proving hard to escape from.

Roshenko has his foot on Gardner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gardner works his way back into a safe position though.
Roshenko controls Gardner momentarily but Gardner frees himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gardner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Roshenko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gardner is one step ahead there.
Roshenko pulls Gardner in close to his closed guard and prevents Gardner from doing any damage or advancing position.

Roshenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gardner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roshenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Roshenko, not yet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Roshenko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gardner is refusing to be controlled, as Roshenko sits in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gardner controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Roshenko is looking for a kimura but Gardner is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roshenko to get the leverage.
Roshenko is stalling here. Gardner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Roshenko seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gardner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Roshenko tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gardner presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Josh Gardner will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A jab from Gardner misses.
As Gardner looks to move away, Roshenko throws a big counter combo bu Gardner just gets out of the way.

Roshenko gets the takedown into side control.
Roshenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gardner keeps working.
Gardner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Roshenko with the ground and pound but Gardner uses the opportunity to regain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gardner pulls Roshenko in close to prevent any damage.

Roshenko is looking to work some ground and pound but Gardner has wrist control.
Roshenko looking to sit in guard and control but Gardner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Roshenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gardner slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Roshenko working for a triangle but Gardner defends it easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gardner postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gardner lands a leg kick that knocks Roshenko off balance momentarily.
Worf Roshenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Roshenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gardner.
Gardner misses with a straight right.

Roshenko rushes Gardner and presses him up against the cage.
Roshenko is trying to pull guard but Gardner has him pressed against the cage.

Gardner lands a left hand.
Roshenko jumps guard but Gardner stands there with Roshenko around his waist. Roshenko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gardner gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Gardner lands a nice shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Roshenko is trying to pull guard but Gardner has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Worf Roshenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gardner keeps Roshenko at a distance using the push kick.
Gardner lands with a straight right. Roshenko didn't see that one coming.
Roshenko will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Gardner scores with a spinning back kick!
Gardner thows a body kick. Roshenko tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Gardner.
Roshenko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Gardner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Gardner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gardner thumps Roshenko with a low kick.

Gardner digs a good body shot into Roshenko's ribs.

Nice straight punches there by Gardner. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gardner.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Gardner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Worf Roshenko's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Roshenko walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gardner looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Josh Gardner seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gardner.
Oh Roshenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gardner lands with a good body shot.
Roshenko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gardner can pounce on him.

Gardner feints and then cracks Roshenko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Roshenko down.

Gardner putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Roshenko in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Gardner comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A left hand lands to the body for Gardner.
Gardner gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gardner drops Roshenko onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Roshenko is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Josh Gardner seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Gardner dips a shoulder and cracks Roshenko with a mighty uppercut! Roshenko falls back against the cage and Gardner unloads with a barrage of strikes! Roshenko is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gardner screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Gardner!
