Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Ka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Freisenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rich Freisenberg will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Ka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rich Freisenberg!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Freisenberg clinches up against the cage.
Ka could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ka fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A frustrated look appears on Freisenberg's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Freisenberg wants a takedown.
Freisenberg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Freisenberg pulls Ka into guard.
Ka is looking to pass into half guard but Freisenberg pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Freisenberg is in guard.

Freisenberg wants to stand but Ka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Freisenberg tries to free his leg and advance position but Ka is retaining full guard.
Ka keeping moving, preventing Freisenberg from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ka is pulling down on Freisenberg's head. It's preventing any offense from Freisenberg, at least for the moment.
Freisenberg postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freisenberg trying to control but Ka is working from the bottom.
Ka has control of Freisenberg's left arm, preventing Freisenberg from doing any damage.

Ka is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Freisenberg is aware though and is defending well.

Ka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ka wants to sweep here but Freisenberg controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ka looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Freisenberg looks for a takedown but Ka sprawls well.

Freisenberg feints and as Ka raises his hands in defense, Freisenberg changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ka is striking off his back. Freisenberg thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Freisenberg is thwarting Ka's attempts to control the position.

Freisenberg perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ka trying to control but Freisenberg postures up.
Freisenberg missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ka manages to get to full guard.
Ka is trying to keep Freisenberg in close.
Ka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Freisenberg is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Freisenberg trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ka's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ka lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ka slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Freisenberg wants to stand but Ka is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rich Freisenberg dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A slapping leg kick lands for Freisenberg.
Freisenberg shoots for a takedown but Ka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A right-left combo lands from Freisenberg.

Ka gets a takedown into half guard.
Freisenberg wants to stand back up but Ka manages to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Freisenberg can't do much from the bottom here.

Ka decides to stand back up. Ka steps back and let's Freisenberg get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Freisenberg thows a body kick. Ka tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Freisenberg manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ka on his heels. He'll look to pass Ka's guard now, I'm sure.
Freisenberg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ka is striking but Freisenberg is not phased and passes to half guard.
Ka trying to control from the bottom.
Ka keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Freisenberg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ka keeps working.

Freisenberg tries to pass to full mount but Ka defends it.

Freisenberg is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ka is just riding it out for now. Freisenberg eventually gives up the hold.
Freisenberg is breathing heavily.
Ka is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ka is not content to let Freisenberg control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Freisenberg avoids it really well and circles away.

Freisenberg takes the fight into the clinch.

Ka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ka can't keep his opponent in guard - Freisenberg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ka pushes Freisenberg off looking to stand but Freisenberg dives back in and keeps control.
Ka wants to control but Freisenberg is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Freisenberg tries to pass to full mount but Ka defends it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ka is trying to maintain the position but Freisenberg is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rich Freisenberg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Ka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Freisenberg defends it nicely.

Ka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Freisenberg is looking to control Ka's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Freisenberg avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ka content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Freisenberg is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ka's back!
Freisenberg doesn't have the hooks in and Ka manages to turn into his guard.
Freisenberg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Freisenberg not doing much here.
Freisenberg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Freisenberg lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ka wants to control but Freisenberg is keeping busy.
Ka makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ka.

Ka throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
John Ka showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Freisenberg has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
