The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira misses with a combination

and Heed decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nogueira's guard.
Nogueira wants to stand up but Heed is controlling him.
Heed is working Nogueira over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Heed slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Nogueira seems to have recovered his senses.

Heed creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Heed is putting a hurting on Nogueira here, landing some big shots from side control.
Nogueira takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Heed scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Nogueira is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Heed can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
