The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar cracks Stokes with an open hand slap.

It looks like Barney Stokes has been cut.
Lesnar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lesnar works over Stokes's head and body with a nice combination.
Lesnar slips under a jab.
Stokes really is a fat lump.
Stokes throws out a loose jab but Lesnar uses good head movement to avoid it.
And Lesnar tries to counter it with a takedown but Stokes pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lesnar wants to clinch up but Stokes keeps it at a distance.
Stokes lands a body shot.
No joy there for Lesnar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stokes drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lesnar sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stokes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stokes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lesnar has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lesnar is trying to control Stokes's posture but Stokes avoids it.
Stokes slows the pace down.

Stokes has hold of Lesnar's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lesnar tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stokes cranks the arm and Lesnar screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lesnar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
