Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gus Sargent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Brezze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler Brezze has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brezze shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brezze showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sargent scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Brezze manages to mount him!

You get the feeling that Sargent really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Brezze sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Brezze has hold of Sargent's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sargent manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sargent kicks off Brezze and gets to his feet.

Brezze manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sargent on his heels. He'll look to pass Sargent's guard now, I'm sure.

Sargent is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Brezze looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brezze thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sargent's head.
Sargent is looking to get back to is feet but Brezze passes into side control.
The referee asks Brezze politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brezze prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sargent wants to get back to his feet but Brezze drags him back down.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Sargent is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Brezze asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Brezze decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sargent pushes Brezze off looking to stand but Brezze dives back in and keeps control.

Sargent is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Brezze is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sargent knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sargent for a finish.

Sargent misses with a takedown attempt - Brezze sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sargent or perhaps it was just good defense by Brezze, which made it look bad.
