The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez shoots for a takedown but Arenas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Arenas waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gomez.
It looked like Gomez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Gomez shoots in for a double leg but Arenas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Arenas throws a jab but it's blocked by Gomez.
Gomez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arenas but Arenas pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Oh Gomez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Arenas flashes Gomez a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Gomez's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Gomez crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Arenas punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
