The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Blasts enables Perri to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blasts manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Perri throws out a loose jab but Blasts uses good head movement to avoid it.
Perri's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Blasts connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Perri scrambles back to his feet.

Blasts throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perri sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Perri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Perri slips a jab and a cross from Blasts.
Blasts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blasts connects with a body shot.
Rupert Blasts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blasts waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Perri.
Perri throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Perri fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blasts looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Blasts blocks a head kick by Perri.
Perri misses with a body kick.
Blasts looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Perri with a nice cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rupert Blasts will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Matt Perri's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Perri throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Blasts looks to land a right hand but Perri moved out of range.
Blasts lands a nice shot that snaps Perri's head back.

Blasts dips a shoulder and cracks Perri with a mighty uppercut! Perri falls back against the cage and Blasts unloads with a barrage of strikes! Perri is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Blasts screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
