Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schroter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mathews's waist but Mathews gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schroter off to one side.

Mathews is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schroter's half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mathews lands a nice short elbow.
Mathews winds up and cracks Schroter with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mathews will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mathews seems to be working for a kimura but Schroter defends the submission attempt.
Mathews is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schroter wants to control but Mathews is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mathews throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Mathews stays in close to Schroter's body and controls the position.
Mathews has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Schroter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Schroter working a defensive guard but Mathews passes into half guard.

Mathews is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Schroter is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
