Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Etu Maamladu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castillo comes to the cage accompanied by Electric Worry. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Etu Maamladu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo fails with an attempt to clinch.

Maamladu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Castillo, pushing him back against the cage.

Castillo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maamladu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Castillo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Maamladu smiles and moves away.

Castillo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Castillo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Castillo has control of Maamladu's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Maamladu regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Castillo with shots to the head and body - Maamladu looks very uncomfortable down there.
Maamladu tries to lock up and control but Castillo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Maamladu is looking to improve his position but Castillo isn't that keen on the idea.

Castillo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Maamladu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Castillo has control of Maamladu's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Maamladu regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Maamladu is in all sorts of trouble here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Maamladu wants to hold on but Castillo pushes him away.
