The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Schmied keeps the fight on the outside.
Schmied lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Schmied throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Schmied slips a jab and a cross from Todd.

Todd is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Schmied.

Schmied dances in with a quick combination. Todd is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Schmied snaps Todd's head back. Todd stumbles backwards against the cage. Schmied steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Todd's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Todd just didn't come prepared.
