Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maya Kimaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maya Kimaya!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimaya is looking to clinch.
As Kimaya looks to move away, Scott throws a big counter combo bu Kimaya just gets out of the way.
Scott throws a series of punches but Kimaya moves out of range.
Scott loads up on a big right hand but Kimaya slips the punch.
Kimaya ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Scott missing with a left hand there. Kimaya was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Kimaya closes the distance and pushes Scott back into the cage.
Scott is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kimaya wants to take the fight to the mat but Scott manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Scott prevents a takedown attempt there.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kimaya gets a clinch.
Kimaya is trying to drag Scott to the mat but Scott just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kimaya is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Scott is defending well for now.
Kimaya connects with a nasty looking knee right to Scott's face.

Scott is trying to stall.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kimaya tries to close the distance and clinch but Scott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kimaya fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Scott, pushing him back against the cage.

Kimaya lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Scott backwards.

Kimaya digs a right hand into Scott's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Scott's gas tank.

Kimaya has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Scott seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Kimaya can turn it around.

and Kimaya counters with a crisp one two that drops Scott! Kimaya thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Scott to his feet! Scott is in big trouble!
Scott slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Maya Kimaya is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kimaya looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kimaya instigates a clinch.
Scott prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kimaya lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Scott is pressed up against the cage. Kimaya has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Scott down to the mat. Scott avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Scott keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Scott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kimaya.
Scott sets himself, and Kimaya steps forward looking for the clinch! Scott avoids it this time.

Kimaya thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Scott if he has to take too many more of those.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Scott takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Scott has had enough of the clinch but Kimaya keeps him there for the moment.
Mark Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
