The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ever misses with a two punch combination.
Marlon Ever seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brock misses with a leg kick
and Brock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Brock decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brock is taking a breather. Ever says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Brock is looking to take a break and control but Ever is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
