Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabrici Gorfal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jere Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jere Stephens was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stephens lands a jab-cross combination.
Stephens throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gorfal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stephens is trying to defend but Gorfal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Stephens flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Stephens trying to control here.
Stephens wants to get back to full guard but Gorfal has mounted him!
Stephens tries to reverse the position but Gorfal maintains control.
Gorfal wants to control the pace but Stephens is squirming around nicely.
Stephens is looking to get to half guard.
Stephens is still trying to improve position.
Stephens is bucking up trying to escape but Gorfal cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Gorfal trying to control but Stephens is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorfal working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Stephens turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gorfal off and cradles Stephens's limp body as Gorfal celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Fabrici Gorfal!
