Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Byron Bluth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Byron Bluth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Frost!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost misses with a takedown attempt - Bluth sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Frost shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bluth but Bluth pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Frost misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Byron Bluth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Frost.

Bluth drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bluth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Frost keeping moving, preventing Bluth from controlling successfully.
Bluth tries to free his leg and advance position but Frost is retaining full guard.
Frost controls Bluth momentarily but Bluth frees himself.
Frost looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bluth is one step ahead there.
Bluth lands a couple of digs.
Frost is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bluth trying to control but Frost is working from the bottom.
Frost has momentary wrist control but Bluth slips an elbow through the middle.
Bluth forces his way into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Frost trying to hold on to Bluth's head to control him but Bluth postures up.
Bluth looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Frost with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bluth is trying to control the action in half guard but Frost is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Frost is trying to control but Bluth passes into side control!
Frost gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Frost tries to roll over but Bluth keeps him under control.
Frost looks gassed!
Bluth sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Frost defending well though.
Bluth wants to pass to mount but Frost is defending the position.
Frost has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bluth is working away from the top position though.
Bluth looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bluth landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bluth working over Frost with some ground and pound. Frost looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Bluth slips a nice elbow through Frost's hands, connecting with Frost's forehead.
Bluth lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Bluth decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Frost tries for a takedown but Bluth circles away easily

and Bluth counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Frost!
Bluth landing punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frost is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Frost is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bluth lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Frost slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Frost missing with punches from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frost trying to hold on to Bluth's head to control him but Bluth postures up.

Frost has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Bluth. Oh but Frost has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Bluth goes limp - he's gone! Frost jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). James Frost!
