Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iivana Jalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julien Touret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jalo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Aino Venna - Waltz to Paris. Touret is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: La Valse d'Amelie. On his way into the cage it seems that Iivana Jalo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Iivana Jalo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Jalo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Jalo manages to break the clinch.
Touret throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Jalo's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Touret dives in looking to finish as Jalo flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Touret's strikes! Touret is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Jalo's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Jalo was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
