The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shebanov throws a body punch but Meikalainen moves out of range.
Shebanov throws out a leg kick but Meikalainen moves out of range and Shebanov only half commits.
Shebanov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A swing and a miss from Shebanov.
Shebanov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Shebanov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Meikalainen was well out of range. Poor timing from Shebanov.
Meikalainen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Meikalainen scores with a shot to the body.
Shebanov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shebanov moves forwards but Meikalainen connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Roman Shebanov has been cut.
Meikalainen throws a leg kick which misses Shebanov's front leg but catches the back leg as Shebanov tries to avoid it.
Meikalainen throws the left hand but Shebanov avoids the punch easily.
Meikalainen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shebanov.
Meikalainen thuds a left hand into Shebanov's body.
Shebanov is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shebanov takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Meikalainen lands with a thumping leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Meikalainen.
Meikalainen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Meikalainen lands a front kick.
Shebanov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Meikalainen drops Shebanov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shebanov looks back up at him and smiles so Meikalainen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Shebanov is rocked!
Meikalainen connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Shebanov covering up! Meikalainen comes in with a big uppercut and Shebanov goes doooown! He's slumped up against the ropes, eyes staring blankly into space.
