Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jere Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jere Spence has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jere Spence!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a body punch but Spence moves out of range.

Lee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Spence wants to stall.

Spence avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lee showed some decent athleticism there.
Lee wants to stand but Spence has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Lee is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Lee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Spence wants to control but Lee is keeping busy.

Spence tries to roll over but Lee keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Spence moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Spence manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Spence keeps him there for the moment.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Spence changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lee fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Lee lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Spence takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lee is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Spence has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Jere Spence has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bruce Lee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Bruce Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
