Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ace Edison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baco Gacov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edison comes to the cage accompanied by Wannabee by Spice Girls. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edison with a lazy takedown attempt

and Gacov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gacov misses with a body punch.
Edison is pressed up against the cage. Gacov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Edison down to the mat. Edison avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Edison tries to sprawl but Gacov drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Gacov is looking for a kimura here.
Gacov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gacov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Edison is just riding it out for now. Gacov eventually gives up the hold.
Edison is controlling Gacov's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Edison has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gacov is on him like a limpet, forcing Edison back against the cage.
Edison gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gacov.

Ace Edison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baco Gacov.

Edison has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gacov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Edison lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Edison.
Edison controlling the position well here. Gacov rolled but Edison kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Edison's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gacov is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Edison working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gacov is taking damage to the body and head.
Edison is trying to stick to Gacov's back but Gacov is turning into Edison. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Edison's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gacov.
Edison looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gacov is one step ahead there.
Gacov wants to stand and escape but instead Edison has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Edison tries to free his leg and advance position but Gacov is retaining full guard.

Gacov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Edison passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Edison is thwarting Gacov's attempts to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ace Edison dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gacov gets caught napping as Edison dives in and scores a takedown. Gacov manages to retain guard.
Gacov wants to control the position but Edison says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Edison is taking a breather. Gacov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Edison stands up from Gacov's guard - Edison perhaps looking for a knockout.

Edison darts in and clinches Gacov up against the cage.
Gacov is looking to control Edison's arms but Edison gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gacov has his back to the cage.
Gacov jumps guard but Edison turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Edison turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Edison moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Edison is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gacov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gacov is trying to improve his position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Edison decides to stand back up.
Edison misses with an attempted mid kick.

Edison has Gacov up against the cage in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gacov.
Edison throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Edison scores with a shoulder strike.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Edison has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gacov is trying to keep an underhook but Edison manages to get the takedown into half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Gacov misses with a takedown
and Edison counters with a left and a right that stings Gacov.
Gacov misses with a takedown attempt - Edison sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Edison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gacov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Edison pushes Gacov off and gets back to his feet.
Gacov is looking to clinch but Edison is avoiding it.
A lazy left from Edison finds it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice takedown defense from Edison. No joy for Gacov on that attempt.

Gacov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Edison uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Edison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gacov napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Edison decides to stand back up. Edison steps back and let's Gacov get back to his feet.
Edison finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Edison is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gacov is aware though and is defending well.
Gacov is pushing down on Edison's leg trying to pass to half guard. Edison is fighting to maintain full guard but Gacov has managed to sneak the leg through.

Edison manages to escape and get back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gacov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Edison as he jumps to the side.
Edison is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gacov.
Gacov moves out of range as Edison throws a body kick.

Gacov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Edison.
Edison is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Edison ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Edison no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Gacov throws an elbow that misses. Edison uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gacov's guard. Nice move by Edison!

Edison forces his way into half guard.
Edison takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Gacov looks like he's trying to stand up.

Edison wants to work for an arm triangle but Gacov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gacov tries to kick Edison off but Edison keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Edison looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Baco Gacov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gacov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ace Edison is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ace Edison showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Edison has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
