PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Seagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruiz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ZARILA KANDZE. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Kruiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seagan's waist but Seagan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kruiz off to one side.
Kruiz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kruiz misses with a takedown attempt
and Seagan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Seagan throws out a leg kick but Kruiz moves out of range and Seagan only half commits.
Seagan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Seagan moves into range and connects with a jab.
A jab from Seagan misses.
Good standup being displayed there by Seagan as he connects with a hook.

Seagan drops Kruiz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kruiz looks back up at him and smiles so Seagan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kruiz is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kruiz switches off momentarily and Seagan cracks him with a monster right hand! Kruiz topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Seagan dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Seagan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lance Seagan!
A determined Lance Seagan didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
