Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keeneth Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen hall of fame as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler misses with a looping left.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Chandler controlling the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Chandler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Chandler is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Chandler seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Chandler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chandler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
Chandler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jones's head.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chandler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
