Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Furi Romu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavus Adolphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romu comes into the arena with Shawn Chris-Stars Align!! blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Adolphus wants to clinch up but Romu keeps it at a distance.
Romu misses with a double jab
and Adolphus makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Romu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Romu throws a right hand that Adolphus ducks under and follows up with a left that Adolphus also avoids with ease.
A head kick lands from Adolphus that sends Romu to the canvas. Romu tries to scramble back to his feet but Adolphus brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Furi Romu has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Adolphus tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Romu is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Animal House that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Romu throws Adolphus to one side and escapes!

Romu chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Adolphus can pounce on him.
Adolphus slips a jab and a cross from Romu.
Adolphus explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Romu is breathing heavily.
Adolphus moves into range and clinches up with Romu.

Adolphus bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Adolphus lands with a right that hurts Romu. Romu looks to clinch but Adolphus throws a short knee that drops Romu. This one is all over!
