Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gymer Alexandersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spartacus Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexandersson comes into the arena with Lasse Dahlquist - Jolly Bob från Aberdeen blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo avoids the body shot from Alexandersson.
Halo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Crunch! Halo slams his shin into Alexandersson's torso.
Alexandersson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alexandersson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Halo's head.
It looks like Spartacus Halo has been cut.

Alexandersson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Halo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Halo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Alexandersson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Halo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Alexandersson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Halo.

and Alexandersson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That has opened up Spartacus Halo's cut even more.
Gymer Alexandersson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alexandersson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Halo cracks Alexandersson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Alexandersson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Halo is still on wobbly legs! Can Alexandersson finish him?
Alexandersson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Halo seems to have recovered his senses.
Halo tries a body shot but Alexandersson blocks it.
Halo tries to land a knee to the head but Alexandersson blocks with his arms.
Still in the clinch, Alexandersson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Halo tries to throw a body punch but Alexandersson avoids it by throwing Halo back against the cage.

Halo misses with a punch to the body.
Alexandersson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alexandersson misses the shot to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Halo! But no joy.
Alexandersson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Alexandersson cracks Halo with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Halo tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Alexandersson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Halo is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gymer Alexandersson!
