Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Noonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Pu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noonan comes to the cage accompanied by 3DD - Kryptonite. Michael Noonan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rudy Pu!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pu throws a hook but Noonan blocks it.
The fighters circling - Pu throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pu throws a looping overhand right but Noonan ducks down to avoid it.
Pu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Noonan makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Pu really felt that one!
Pu lands a right hook to the body.
Pu throws an off balance right hand
and Noonan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Noonan on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Noonan slips under a jab.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Noonan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Noonan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Noonan wants to control from the top but Pu keeps moving.
Pu is looking to stand up but Noonan isn't so interested in that idea.
Pu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pu looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Noonan has picked Pu up and slammed him! Pu can't keep hold of the triangle and Noonan manages to pass to side control!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Noonan.
I think Noonan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
