Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Teppo Tavi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Renano Leranjo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Tavi tests Leranjo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tavi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tavi digs a good hook to Leranjo's body.
Leranjo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tavi scores with a leg kick.
Leranjo walks into a straight right hand from Tavi.
Tavi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Tavi wants to control but Leranjo postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tavi tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Leranjo cracks Tavi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Leranjo working for a guillotine from mount but Tavi is in no mood to give up.
My spies in All Time Wrestling inform me that Leranjo has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Tavi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tavi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leranjo on the ground.

Tavi tries to lock up and control but Leranjo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tavi is looking to improve his position but Leranjo isn't that keen on the idea.

Tavi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Leranjo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Leranjo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Tavi tries to hold on but Leranjo pushes him away.

Leranjo avoids the attempt from Tavi to control.

Let's hope that Leranjo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Renano Leranjo dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Tavi slaps away a takedown attempt from Leranjo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tavi scores with a jab to the body.
Tavi lands with a right hand.
Leranjo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Tavi cracks Leranjo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Leranjo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Tavi finish him?


Leranjo is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tavi throws a monster overhand right that drops Leranjo! Tavi follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Teppo Tavi!
