The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Humphrey has Gonzalez up against the cage in a clinch.

Gonzalez tries to bum rush Humphrey with a series of wild strikes but Humphrey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Let's hope that Gonzalez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzalez can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Humphrey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gonzalez uses his free foot to push down on Humphrey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Humphrey.
Humphrey is looking to improve his position but Gonzalez isn't that keen on the idea.

Gonzalez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I would just about give that final round to Jason Gonzalez.
