Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamil Nowak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Kamil Nowak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Mir!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mir closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nowak prevents Mir from moving into mount.

Mir working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Nowak parries the strikes from Mir easily there. Mir is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nowak to escape.
You can see the frustration on Nowak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nowak slaps away a takedown attempt from Mir, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nowak appears to be looking for a big counter.

Nowak fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mir on the side of the head.

Mir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nowak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mir has managed to get both his arms back between Nowak's legs - danger averted.

Mir misses with a takedown attempt - Nowak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It looked like Nowak was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kamil Nowak.
I think Nowak has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
