The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Cold or perhaps it was just good defense by Alves, which made it look bad.
Stone Cold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Alves jerks Cold's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Cold drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Alves goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Alves because Cold was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Thiago Alves tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
Stone Cold was interviewed post fight and said 'Where's the beer at?'.
