The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Erokhin closes the distance and clinches.

It looks like Diego Contreiras has been cut.
Contreiras blocks a body shot from Erokhin.
Contreiras tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Erokhin just stands there and leans against the cage.

I was talking to Erokhin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Erokhin is pushing Contreiras up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Contreiras should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Konstantin Erokhin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Contreiras.

Erokhin moves into the clinch successfully.
Erokhin lands an uppercut.
Erokhin connects with a nasty looking knee right to Contreiras's face.
Erokhin struggles to land a body shot inside as Contreiras controls his hands.

Contreiras is trying to pull guard but Erokhin has him pressed against the cage.

Contreiras wants a takedown.
Contreiras swings wildly with an uppercut but Erokhin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Contreiras has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Erokhin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Erokhin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

The cut above Diego Contreiras's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Erokhin lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Diego Contreiras's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Erokhin just leaning against Contreiras, taking a breather.
With the fighters up against the cage, Erokhin throws an elbow but misses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erokhin clinches up with Contreiras and pushes him back against the cage.
Contreiras jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Erokhin walks away with a smile on his face. Contreiras gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
