Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Barcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leiro Nayr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nayr has chosen Thunderstruck - AC/DC as his entrance music. Leiro Nayr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barcos scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nayr pushes Barcos off and gets back to his feet.
Nayr connects with the punch.
Nayr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nayr wants it to stay on the feet.
Barcos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Barcos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

We've been hearing good reports from Barcos's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Barcos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Barcos arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Nayr's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
