The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Strickland closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gunines tries to pull guard but Strickland won't allow it.
Strickland stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Strickland pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gunines gets tackled into the cage by Strickland. Strickland maintains the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Strickland - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gunines fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunines jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strickland walks away with a smile on his face. Gunines gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Berry Strickland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrice Gunines.

Strickland shoots in and gets a takedown into Gunines's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunines looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Strickland is defending well. Gunines quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Strickland has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gunines celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
