The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banner has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Banner stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Kontos stops a takedown attempt from Banner.
The referee is keeping an eye on Banner - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

A little feinted left hand from Banner on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Banner slips under a jab from Kontos.
Banner tries to close the distance and clinch but Kontos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kontos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kontos misses with a wild body shot.
Kontos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Banner tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kontos manages to circle out of the way.
Kontos catches Banner with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kontos swings for the body but Banner moves out of range.
Stelio Kontos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kontos misses with a hook.
Banner was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Banner appears to be looking for a big counter.
Kontos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Banner has time to react.

Kontos has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Banner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kontos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Oh Banner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kontos scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Banner doesn't seem bothered though.
Banner seems to have got his legs back now.

Kontos lands a big right hand that sends Banner crashing to the mat! Kontos stays standing though and waves Banner back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Banner leaves his chin hanging out and Kontos seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Banner crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
