Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between eddie toode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). toode comes to the cage accompanied by somebodies goin get there ass kicked. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, eddie toode!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lance Boyle!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
toode shoots in but Boyle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boyle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boyle throws a push kick but toode slaps the foot to one side.
toode shoots in and bounces Boyle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Boyle wants to get back to his feet but toode is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
toode has gone for a leg lock! Boyle slips out almost immediately though and dives into toode's guard.
toode controls Boyle momentarily but Boyle frees himself.
toode tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boyle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed toode's guard.

toode is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
toode is working hard here to advance position.
Boyle slips a nice elbow through toode's hands, connecting with toode's forehead.
Boyle tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
toode pushes Boyle off looking to stand but Boyle dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyle blocks the strikes from toode.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boyle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Let's hope that Boyle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boyle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks toode with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
toode wants to control but Boyle is keeping busy and won't allow it.

toode misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Boyle is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boyle wants to pass to mount but toode is defending the position.

That was a close round but I would say that eddie toode will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
toode fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boyle sprawls well initially but toode persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
toode seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boyle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
toode thows a huge punch but Boyle dodges it nicely.
Boyle moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Boyle keeping moving, preventing toode from controlling successfully.

Boyle is pulling down on toode's head. It's preventing any offense from toode, at least for the moment.

Boyle is pressed up against the cage. toode has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boyle down to the mat. Boyle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Boyle. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Boyle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

I would just about give that final round to Lance Boyle.
Well Boyle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
