The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kruger Jr counters with a right hand to the body.
Mark Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peters missing with a left hand there. Kruger Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kruger Jr swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Peters takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Peters fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kruger Jr tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Peters manages to circle out of the way.
Peters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dolph Kruger Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Peters.
Kruger Jr tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Peters defends well and Kruger Jr ends up having to push Peters into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
