Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joey Nix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nix's entrance music is Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso. A fine choice. Ryan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Beast kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Nix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix with a poor takedown
enabling Ryan to counter with a crisp jab.
Ryan stuffs the takedown attempt from Nix. Nix gets slowly back to his feet.
Nix looks for the body kick but Ryan saw that one coming.
Ryan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nix eats them both and turns towards Ryan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nix swinging wildly here.
Ryan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nix moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ryan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ryan misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan throws a series of punches but Nix avoids them all with ease.
Nix misses with an uppercut. Ryan saw that one coming.
Nix gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ryan.
Ryan closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nix throws a body kick that misses.

Nix stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nix lands with a right hand.
Nix scores with a jab. Ryan acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nix lands with a kick to the ribs.
The fighters circling - Nix throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ryan is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Ryan throws a right and a left that Nix avoids nicely.
Nix scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ryan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nix swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nix chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ryan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ryan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ryan tries to close the distance and clinch but Nix swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nix jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Ryan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Andrew Ryan has been cut.
Ryan fails to land with a series of punches.
Ryan connects with a single shot there.
Ryan throws a jab but it's blocked by Nix.
The fighters circling - Ryan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ryan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nix misses with a hook.
Nix lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A swing and a miss from Nix.
Ryan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nix throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nix on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ryan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Nix has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Nix shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ryan's guard.
Nix is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Ryan is rocked!
Nix lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ryan is still in real trouble! Can Nix finish him?

Nix gets to his feet - Ryan follows without any prompting.
Nix is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Ryan tries to get into range but Nix steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Ryan! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Nix scores the big KO victory!

A very excited looking Joey Nix made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
