PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Child (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ville Marakatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Child might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to VooDoo . Marakatti has chosen Beyoncé - Halo as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Child forces Marakatti back against the cage and clinches.
Child scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Marakatti jumps guard but Child stands there with Marakatti around his waist. Marakatti gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Child just misses with a elbow thrown towards Marakatti's brow.
Child scores a nice knee to the body.
Child lands with a short shot to the head.

Marakatti jumps guard but Child turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Child is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marakatti is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Child to the mat. Child regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Marakatti has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Child is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Child got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marakatti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Child has managed to get both his arms back between Marakatti's legs - danger averted.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marakatti holds on and takes a little breather.

Marakatti throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Child was covering up waiting for the punch and Marakatti finishes the takedown easily into guard.
