The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wates misses with a double jab.
Mitchell thuds a left hand into Wates's body.
Mitchell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wates misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mitchell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Wates is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mitchell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wates lands with a nice combination. Mitchell backs away looking to recover.
Wates tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mitchell was well out of range. Poor timing from Wates.
Mitchell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wates looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mitchell cracks Wates with a good jab.
Wates throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mitchell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wates.
Mitchell lands a jab.
Wates tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mitchell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mitchell! But no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mitchell lands a big head kick that sends Wates tumbling to the mat! Mitchell takes a step backwards and waves Wates back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wates is rocked!
Mitchell thuds a left hand into Wates's body.
Oh Wates is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

After the fight, Gregory Mitchell was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
