PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Augustus Bulleit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philo Beddoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beddoe has chosen Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Augustus Bulleit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Philo Beddoe!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddoe lands with a right hand.
Bulleit misses with a two punch combination.
Beddoe stuffs the takedown attempt from Bulleit. Bulleit gets slowly back to his feet.
Bulleit has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Beddoe finds it's way round the side to connect with Bulleit's head.
Beddoe swinging wildly here.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Beddoe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bulleit throws a hook but Beddoe blocks it.
A punch lands to the side of Bulleit 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Beddoe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Beddoe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A left and a right from Beddoe both land. Nice combination.
Beddoe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bulleit.
Bulleit takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Beddoe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Beddoe throws a good cross that connects.
Beddoe lands an overhand right.

Bulleit is rocked!

Beddoe drops Bulleit with a big left hand! Bulleit is injured, injured bad! Beddoe jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Philo Beddoe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
