Timma comes to the cage accompanied by Z FARTEM. Gonzalez has chosen El Party Me Llama as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Timma is trying to force a seperation but Gonzalez has the dominant position.

Timma is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Timma feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gonzalezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Gonzalez is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Timma with a body shot.
Timma keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gonzalez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonzalez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Timma pushes Gonzalez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gonzalez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kaspars Timma will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gonzalez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gonzalez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Timma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Timma connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gonzalez's hands.
Timma is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Timma dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gonzalez. That did some damage!

Gonzalez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Timma connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gonzalez scrambles back to his feet.
Gonzalez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Timma moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It looked like Timma wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Timma throws a sloppy head kick and Gonzalez moves out of range easily.
Timma is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gonzalez can do to turn this around?

Gonzalez drops Timma with a beautiful combination! Timma stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gonzalez is looking for the KO!

It looks like Kaspars Timma has been cut.
Gonzalez misses with a wild body shot.
Oh Timma is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gonzalez closes the distance looking for a takedown. Timma stuffs it but Gonzalez still has hold of him. Gonzalez picks Timma up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Gonzalez slams Timma to the floor and that's really hurt Timma - he doesn't know where he is! Gonzalez throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
