Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shin Dong Hyuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A solid leg kick lands there for Goon.

Dong Hyuk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Goon tried to score with a low kick but Dong Hyuk checks it.
Dong Hyuk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Goon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dong Hyuk.

Goon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Goon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dong Hyuk throws out a loose jab but Goon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Goon now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Dong Hyuk sets himself, and Goon steps forward looking for the clinch! Dong Hyuk avoids it this time.

Goon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dong Hyuk's head.

Goon throws out a counter right but Dong Hyuk avoids it with no problem.

Dong Hyuk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Goon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dong Hyuk - the referee stops the clock and Goon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dong Hyuk. Goon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dong Hyuk manages to avoid it.

Dong Hyuk darts in and clinches Goon up against the cage.

Goon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Dong Hyuk is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Goon to keep the fight standing.
Dong Hyuk digs a right hand underneath Goon's ribcage. Goon let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Dong Hyuk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Goon uses from the top position.

Dong Hyuk wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Goon has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dong Hyuk to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Goon is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dong Hyuk pulls down on the head and he's put Goon to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Shin Dong Hyuk!
Shin Dong Hyuk decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
