Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brad Walton!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olson gets a clinch.

Olson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Olson is trying to control the position but Walton postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Olson wants to stand but Walton is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Olson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Walton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Walton darts in and clinches Olson up against the cage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Olson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Walton pulls his leg out and moves away.
Olson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Walton defends well and Olson ends up having to push Walton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Walton leaves Olson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forrest Olson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Olson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walton as he avoids it easily.
Walton steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Olson.

Walton moves into range and clinches up with Olson.
Olson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Walton has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Olson after a bit of a struggle.
Olson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Walton is defending well.

Olson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Olson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Walton feints the counter takedown.
Olson is breathing heavily.

Walton pushes Olson up against the cage in a clinch.
Olson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Walton tries to circle away but Olson has him pinned against the cage.
Walton is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Olson is defending well for now.

Olson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Olson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Olson shoots in and drives through. Walton sprawls well.
Walton tries to counter by closing the distance.

Olson tries to score a body lock takedown but Walton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Walton is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Olson is keeping busy.
Olson tries to break the clinch but Walton is controlling the position.

Olson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Olson gets tackled into the cage by Walton. Walton maintains the clinch.
Olson jumps guard but Walton turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Olson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Walton has him pressed against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Walton fails to land.
Walton tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Olson has had enough of the clinch but Walton keeps him there for the moment.
Olson tries to pull guard but Walton holds him up against the cage and eventually Olson drops back down to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Olson.
Walton tries a body shot but Olson blocks it.
Walton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Walton dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Walton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Olson, pushing him back against the cage.

Olson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Walton checks a leg kick.
Walton changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Olson gets tackled into the cage by Walton. Walton maintains the clinch.
Olson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Walton walks away with a smile on his face. Olson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Walton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Walton throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Olson defending against the ground and pound.
Olson wants to control but Walton postures up.
Walton controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walton tries to move to mount but Olson blocks the move with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Olson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Walton.
Olson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walton gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Olson is trying to break the clinch but Walton is controlling him.
Still in the clinch, Olson scores with a nice short uppercut.

Olson breaks from the clinch.

Walton clinches.
Walton tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Olson's elbow.
Walton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Olson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Walton has him pressed against the cage.
Walton throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Olson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Walton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Walton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Walton looks to land a left hand but Olson moved out of range nicely.

Olson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Walton to the ground. Olson is now in Walton's guard.

Walton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Let's hope that Walton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
More stalling from Walton.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Walton forces Olson back against the cage and clinches.
Brad Walton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Olson can't get the takedown.
Olson wants to break free but Walton has control.
Walton tries to throw a body punch but Olson avoids it by throwing Walton back against the cage.

Olson tightens his grip and picks Walton up, before dumping him to the ground. Walton manages to land in guard.
Walton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Olson is one step ahead there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Forrest Olson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Walton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Brad Walton.
I've got Walton winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
