Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Mclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Percy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Percy Jones has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Roger Mclean's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Percy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mclean wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jones manages to pass to side control.
Mclean really is a fat lump.
Jones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Mclean is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jones working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Mclean has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jones is on him like a limpet, forcing Mclean back against the cage.
Mclean tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mclean is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Mclean postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
