Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Pepot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Mirkovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Pepot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Pepot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Filip Mirkovic!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepot lands an overhand right.
Mirkovic keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mirkovic drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Pepot defends it well.

Pepot gets caught napping as Mirkovic dives in and scores a takedown. Pepot manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mirkovic trying to control but Pepot is working from the bottom.
Mirkovic is pushing down on Pepot's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pepot is fighting to maintain full guard but Mirkovic has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mirkovic's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pepot connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mirkovic scrambles back to his feet.

Mirkovic shoots in for a double leg but Pepot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Mirkovic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pepot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mirkovic tries to close the distance and clinch but Pepot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pepot throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mirkovic stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pepot comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mirkovic looks winded!
Pepot takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mirkovic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pepot.
Mirkovic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pepot.
Pepot lands a glancing blow to the side of Mirkovic's head.
Mirkovic misses with a body shot.
Pepot leaves Mirkovic with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've been informed that Mirkovic has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Don Pepot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filip Mirkovic.
Mirkovic tries to clinch there but Pepot circles away.
Mirkovic fails to land the takedown.
Mirkovic shoots in for a takedown but Pepot shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mirkovic moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Pepot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mirkovic takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pepot misses with a wild combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pepot. Mirkovic does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pepot's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pepot duly obliges.
Pepot throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mirkovic sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pepot loads up on a big right hand but Mirkovic slips the punch.
Mirkovic swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Pepot is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Pepot takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mirkovic is defended easily by Pepot.
Mirkovic misses with the combination.
Mirkovic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pepot tries to avoid it but Mirkovic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pepot to the ground. Pepot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pepot lands a glancing blow to the side of Mirkovic's head.
Mirkovic needs to keep his hands up - Pepot had a free shot at his head there.
Pepot connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Pepot's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pepot drops Mirkovic with a beautiful combination! Mirkovic stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pepot is looking for the KO!

Mirkovic is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Mirkovic seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Pepot shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mirkovic is backing up but Pepot catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mirkovic covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Pepot Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
