A fine choice. May has chosen Watch you Bleed by FFDP as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pozar Pozar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Woody May!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May misses with a double jab.

Pozar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. May is trying to defend but Pozar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Pozar is trying to work for a kimura but May is defending well.
Pozar tries to pass the half guard into mount. May knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pozar prevents May from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
May is refusing to be controlled, as Pozar sits in half guard.
Pozar prevents May from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pozar is trying to control the action in half guard but May is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pozar missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
May wants to get back to his feet.
May has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pozar is working away from the top position though.

Pozar seems to be working for a kimura but May defends the submission attempt.
Pozar trying to control the pace.

Pozar is looking for a kimura but May is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pozar to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
May wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pozar is trying hard to land a takedown here. May sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pozar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
May lands a big head kick that sends Pozar to the canvas! May follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Woody May!
An out of breath and clearly excited Woody May thanked Bellum Dominum for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
In defeat, Pozar Pozar stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thanks my sponsors and all my fans!!!'.
