Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Wakefield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leland Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer has chosen Annihilator - Fun Palace as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leland Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wakefield connects with the punch.
Palmer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Palmer lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Dean Wakefield has been cut.
Wakefield ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Palmer moves away.
Wakefield misses with a series of wild punches.
Palmer on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wakefield jabs Palmer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Palmer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wakefield.
Palmer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wakefield lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Wakefield throws a head kick but Palmer moves out of range.
Palmer throws a series of strikes that have Wakefield backpedaling.

Wakefield tries to score with a low kick but Palmer moves his leg out of the way.
Wakefield fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Palmer manages to avoid it.

Wakefield gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wakefield utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wakefield wants to sweep but no luck.

Palmer is keen to just control but Wakefield is a slippery customer.
Palmer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wakefield regains half guard.
Wakefield is trying to control but can't.
Wakefield wants to control the action here but instead Palmer manages to pass to full mount!

Palmer moves into full mount! Wakefield won't be happy about that!

Wakefield tries to lock up and control but Palmer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wakefield is looking to get to half guard.
Palmer wants to control the action but instead Wakefield gets a body lock and reverses into Palmer's guard! Nice work!

Palmer has his feet on Wakefield's thighs here. He's pushed Wakefield off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Wakefield screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Leland Palmer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Dean Wakefield was interviewed post fight and said 'I need a couple of months off to re-evaluate my MMA career. I will be back.'.
