We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lu has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pondingham missing with a left hand there. Lu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Lu steps into range and cracks Pondingham with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Pondingham flops backwards and Lu dives into his guard looking to finish!

Lu postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Pondingham covers up, he's hurt! Lu keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lu and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lu can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
