Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shayne Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reuben Causeway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reuben Causeway will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Causeway looking to score a takedown here. Reyes is defending well but Causeway drives through and ends up in Reyes's guard.
Reyes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reyes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Reyes is trying to keep Causeway in close.
Causeway really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reyes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reyes punching to the body, from the bottom.
Causeway trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reyes's guard.
Causeway postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Causeway wants to pass the guard but Reyes is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Causeway postures up.
Causeway is looking to stand up but Reyes won't let him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Causeway shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Reyes controlling Causeway's posture.
Causeway working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reyes's head.
Causeway throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Causeway postures up.
Reyes keeping moving, preventing Causeway from controlling successfully.
Causeway might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Reyes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Causeway accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Causeway is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Reyes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Reyes has escaped and now he's on top!
Causeway is pulling down on Reyes's head to control his posture.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Causeway has managed to clinch.

Causeway breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Causeway throws a nice inside leg kick.

Causeway clinches.
Reyes has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Causeway after a bit of a struggle.
Reyes tries for a takedown. No joy.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Causeway takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Causeway gets control of Reyes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Causeway will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Causeway wants to stand up but Reyes is controlling him.
Causeway wants to control the position but Reyes says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Reyes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Causeway wants to get back to full guard.
Reyes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reyes controlling the action here.
Causeway keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Causeway pushes Reyes off looking to stand but Reyes dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Causeway throws a sloppy head kick and Reyes moves out of range easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Causeway has Reyes up against the cage in a clinch.
Reyes taking a breather.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reuben Causeway dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Causeway throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Reyes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Reyes has a takedown stuffed.

Causeway drives through and clinches with Reyes against the cage.

Causeway lands a takedown into guard.

Reyes kicks Causeway off and gets to his feet.

Causeway rushes Reyes and presses him up against the cage.

Causeway ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Causeway no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reyes postures up.

Causeway is looking for a triangle here but Reyes uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Reyes has hold of Causeway's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Causeway seems comfortable defending it but Reyes has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Causeway is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Causeway is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Reyes couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shayne Reyes!
