The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen wants to clinch
and Chan counters with a left to the body.

Chan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Bowen's face as Chan controls the position.
Chan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bowen to see if he's OK.
Chan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Bowen bucks up and tries to throw Chan off but instead Chan has got his back!
Can Bowen hold on?! Chan is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowen is trapped and Chan is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Chan keeps control of the position easily here as Bowen tries to buck him off.

Chan has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bowen's body.
Chan scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Bowen is looking for a way out.

Chan is riding his opponent, not letting Bowen buck him off.

Chan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Chan.

Bowen is rocked!

It looks like Makebono Bowen has been cut.
Chan lands a series of strikes from the back and Bowen goes limp! The ref jumps in to save him!
